Irresponsibility

Let’s talk about irresponsibility.

Did you ever come across a person who he or she is somehow irresponsible? Yes. I did. Let’s talk about these people.

Normally, it can be easily seen in college or in university. Why I say so? Because there will some people that really pissed you off. No matter in college or in university, we will have a group discussing session named “Group Project”. So, what’s group project? It is basically a group of your classmates or your friends work together to finish a task. Whenever you heard this, what we really pray for is that you wish to have a responsible group mates that doesn’t draw you back. If you’re lucky enough, you get good team mates that take their own responsibility to finish the task as in like a group work. Well, there will always have these ‘idiots’ that take good chance to let other do it for them and they eventually get the marks but they never touch any of those works. In group project, marks are distributed based on final product and not by individually. Yes, sometimes it is a relief that your teammates will reduce your workload IF you got a good mates. In contrast, if you have these so called ‘idiots’, it will be a pain in the ass because you will have double works to do that you need to finish it for them. How we really wish there’s an individual marks in the group project that people who do their works get marks and people who rely on others to do for them get ZERO. Well, this will never ever happen because it is called GROUP project/assignment. Well, I would say that’s life.

Another issues about irresponsibility is some association members especially some student union. In a good way of speaking, student association is basically run by students who willing to spend off their time to help or organize some activities to the student to improve their college/university experience. As a members of the student union, people choose you because they trust you. I find that is very funny is that when you want to nominate yourself as one of the ‘team’, you described yourself that how good and perfect you are. But, I have one question. DO YOU EVER FULFILL YOUR PROMISES? I admit some of the members do takes responsible on their job as they promised. But again, there will be assholes that didn’t really do their job and they still earn that title in the association? No, we don’t give a shit about that. You should do what you have promised. This is about trust and responsibility. You are the one that people choose you and you are the one that volunteering to take this job. So, after you get it and you decided not to perform well? Let me make it clear. No matter which club you’re in, as a TREASURER, you have the duty responsibility to organize the money. When the other people wants you to help them claim their payment, you’re the one people will find because you’re the ‘money manager’. Sometimes I do wonder, don’t you feel stress that all those receipts you’re holding are actually people’s money? You said you are busy, aren’t we busy too? You think only you the one who busy in your studies? What about the rest? Will it take you eternity to just fill in the papers and do the claims? Will it be difficult to spend few minutes to do the claim? If there’s any problem, you should sort it out but not delaying people and you should give them a good explanation but not treat it like never happen before. They rely on you to do the claims because you’re the treasurer. When comes to money, no matter in club or any other association, treasurer is the major part of the whole team. You are the one that decide the activities should get going or on hold. Please do well in your position. That’s a simple tasks.

Sometimes I do wish people should be more considerate and be more responsible on themselves and on other people.

                Good Luck,
