Travel: Day 2 at Bali (Part 2)

Day 2 at Bali

After visited the temple, we straight go to the Kintamani Volcano.
Before that, we stop by Rice Terrence.

The Rice Terrence was placed at Ubud. This place is a very beautiful place. It’s a rice field and all are planted in layers. If you watched Asia’s Next Top Model Season 1, you will see this beautiful place. I just feel so familiar then my brother told me so. Compared to the tv screen, the real life view is more stunning. You can see big part of green leaves. It’s so beautiful and so fresh. Adding the sunny weather, the field looks more alive and vivid. You just can’t blink your eyes. You don’t want to miss every part of this field.

Then, we headed to the Kintamani Volcano.
This is a mountain village which 1400 meters above sea level, a breathtaking view of Batur mountain. It was once an active volcano and now it’s a dead volcano after it burst few years back. Beside the mountain, there’s a village named Kintamani Village. People who stay there is the origin citizen from Indonesia like Orang Asli in Malaysia. There is also a beautiful lake places beside the volcano and the village. The lake is so blue and so beautiful. You will want to see it.

Here’s a story about the village.
Usually, for civilized country, we buried or burn corpses once they are dead.
In this village,
They don’t burn or buries the corpses.

What do they do to them?
Interesting.

They place the dead body just under the tree. They don’t buried or burn, they just put them under a tree.
Imagine it’s like a human siting under a tree just that the person is dead. People who went to this place they said this place is very spiritual. After visiting, a person will get sick. ( you know spiritual thing for chinese, once you touch those, you will get sick ) So, if you don’t have strong “positive spirit”, you wouldn’t want to go here. I don’t know how to explain in English. In mandarin, is called 阳气.

I wish I can visit this village but we are not allowed. You need to get a boat ride to this village from opposite of the village.

I wish I can go here to have a look. Next time may be? Haha!

After visiting the volcano,
We went to Sukawati Market at Ubud.
This is a very famous art market which sells a wide range of clothing, fabrics, masks and souvenirs.
This is a place where you need to start bargain the prices given.
You can cut almost 70% from the normal price.
Malaysian is good at bargain prices. Don’t we?
You can get cheap stuff if you bargain. Remember, bring a calculator so that you can know the price in MYR and so on.
They have variety of dream catcher here. If you’re a dream catcher lover, you will love this place. You can get a lot of patterns here and so on. Besides, their batik also sells at cheap price. I’m not sure it’s authentic or what, you will know once you feel it right? I’m not good at this.
You can get your souvenirs here for friends and family.

Now, for lunch and dinner part.

For lunch,
we have a Deep Fried Duck Meal.
We had our duck meal at The Pond Restaurant Lounge Banquet.
It tastes good and delicious. Just that the duck is deep fried and it’s very crunchy.
It’s one of their Indonesian Cuisine.

For dinner,

We went to Hard Rock to dine.
Hard Rock Bali CHECKED!
I love the environment in Hard Rock.
I wish I can stay at there forever.

Stay tuned for Day 3 to Bali.

                Good Luck,
