Travel: Day 3 at Bali

Day 3 at Bali

Next place I want to introduce is the Tanjung Benoa.
We departed from hotel early morning about 8 AM. We reach there about 1 hour and plus.
Seriously, may be the accommodation is not that ideal because we need travel hours to the next destination and back and forth.

Tanjung Benoa provides all kind of marine activities such as Jet Skiing, Water skiing, parasailing and other water sports activities. (All the water activities by own expenses, you need to pay your own, it’s not included in group fees)

From here, we travelled to Turtle Island by a so called Glass-Bottomed Boat.
You can see through fishes under the water. Before that, you need to walk in the water in order to ride the boat. Interesting.
At the turtle island, you can hold a turtle and see ages of turtle there.
Besides, there are also many reptiles. You can hold them too. I hold a bat. Yay! Like finally.
Remember to bring extra clothes, just in case you get yourself wet by waves.

After, we went to Coffee Factory. They explain how a coffee forms and the processes that needed to go through. They will provide you coffee to taste and you can buy from them. It’s cheaper than any other places because they are the main factory so they give cheap prices. The tastes of coffee depend on where it is planted and how it is processed and prepared. Therefore, prior to serving, coffee has to go through lengthy processing and special recipes help generate excellent flavors to enable consumers to identify their favorite coffee, coffee producers acquire trademark with guarantees consumer satisfaction.

We continue our journey to temple in 5 religions. It contains Buddhism, Taoism, Hinduism, Christian and Catholic. They build together as a symbol of peace. The buildings are very nice and stunning. It’s just simple and amazing.

This place is a breath-taking place. It’s Balinese style Tanah Lot Temple.
It located at a huge rock facing the Indian Ocean.
Adding the sunset view, it is simple gorgeous.
You can see very strong waves. Very strong.
There’s a special spot here which is although it located at the middle of the Indian Ocean, at the bottom of the temple, it produces pure and fresh water.
FYI, sea water is salty but imagines it can just produce pure water which tastes simply sweet and pure. That’s interesting.
I will provide you some pictures I took at there. So tempting.

Tanah Lot Temple

Tanah Lot means "Land [sic: in the] Sea" in the Balinese language. Located in Tabanan, about 20 kilometres (12 mi) from Denpasar, the temple sits on a large offshore rock which has been shaped continuously over the years by the ocean tide.

Tanah Lot is claimed to be the work of the 16th-century Dang Hyang Nirartha. During his travels along the south coast he saw the rock-island's beautiful setting and rested there. Some fishermen saw him, and bought him gifts. Nirartha then spent the night on the little island. Later he spoke to the fishermen and told them to build a shrine on the rock, for he felt it to be a holy place to worship the Balinese sea gods.

The Tanah Lot temple was built and has been a part of Balinese mythology for centuries. The temple is one of seven sea temples around the Balinese coast. Each of the sea temples was established within eyesight of the next to form a chain along the south-western coast. In addition to Balinese mythology, the temple was significantly influenced by Hinduism.

At the base of the rocky island, poisonous sea snakes are believed to guard the temple from evil spirits and intruders. The temple is purportedly protected by a giant snake, which was created from Nirartha's selendang (a type of sash) when he established the island.

At night, we take a taxi to Kuta. We went some shopping and have some drinks there. It's our last stay at Bali, so we don't want to miss anything. We don't usually come back so we just take our chances. The taxi fee is RM9 and the journey is 20 mins plus. It considers cheap enough for Malaysian.

Hard Rock Bali CHECKED!! Happy

Stay Tuned for Day 4 at Bali
